Nile Foundation opened the new center of Orlando Turkish Center. (4700 sqft including Istanbul ballroom, Traditional Anatolian room, two classrooms, a library, a small grocery, a kitchen, a deck, a kids play room, a meeting room and an office). There were around 300 people joined this event. Program moderator was Mary Trip from University of Central Florida, History Department.
Program included following activities;Turkish music live concert by talented young musicians
Folklore dances (Bluestar folk dance performance, Karadeniz&Shepherd, Zeybek & Ashuk and Mashuk, Kafkas)
Turkish food ( Gyros, Gozleme, Baklava, Sekerpare, Mercimek Koftesi, Potato Salad, Salty cookies, Turkish coffee)

Kids entertainment
Drawing (10 gifts were presented to the people drawn)

Orange County commissioners, Mildred Fernandez and Bill Segal,Osceola County Commissioners, Michael Harford,Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings,Orlando Police Department Chief Van Demings,Dr. Jose Fernandez, Pegasus Professor of History and Spanish, and Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Central Florida,Rev.
