Ladino Exhibition in Orlando on October 1 - 10

  Nile Foundation and The Holocaust Center Hosted a special exhibit on The Ladino Community in Turkey, the descendants of Jews expelled from Spain in the 15th century. The exhibit, Under Vine and Fig Tree, has been on exhibit for a limited engagement from October 1 - 10, 2010 at The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center, 851 N Maitland Ave. Maitland, FL 32751.

The opening reception took place on Monday October 4, 2010 at 7 pm at at The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center. Guest speaker was Catherine M. Lewis, Ph.D. Professor of History and Director of Museum of History and Holocaust Education and Coordinator, Public History Program at Kennesaw State University, Georgia. There were many interests from public, guests enjoyed great speech by Dr. Lewis, delicious Turkish refreshment and historical pictures.
