OCPS Officers Visit

We are pleased with OCPS Officers visit to Nile Foundation.Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) is the public school district for Orange County, Florida. It is based out of the Educational Leadership Center, a seven-story building adjacent to the Amway Arena in Downtown Orlando.As of October 2009, OCPS has an enrollment of over 175,000 students, making it the 11th largest school district in the United States.

Lewis Duncan's visit

Rollins College President Lewis Duncan made a visit to our center. Lewis M. Duncan was elected 14th president of Rollins College in March 2004. He is former dean and professor of the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College and was previously provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the University of Tulsa.

Ronald Blocker

We are pleased with Ronald Blocker's visit to Nile Foundation. Ronald Blocker has led the nation's 10th largest school district since July 2000. Under his leadership, OCPS has been an 'A' district for two successive years, with 141 schools earning A and B grades in 2009.

Lunch with Mayor Budy Dyer

Mayor Budy Dyer made a visit to our cultural center. He is mayor of Orlando, Florida, first elected in 2003. He is a member of the United States Democratic Party. Previously he represented Orlando in the Florida State Senate for ten years, including three years when he was the Senate Democratic leader.

Joie Cadle's visit

Mrs. Cadle is the current school board chairman. She was first elected in 2002 and is now serving her second term. A 20-year volunteer in the Orange County public school system, Mrs. Cadle worked her way from cafeteria volunteer to three-time PTA president at the elementary, middle and high school levels; to the office of an elected school board member.
